seattle II

More photos.

Seattle’s obsession with coffee comes as no surprise to anyone, but coming from Winona, this was quite a sight. “The land of milk and honey,” comes to mind, minus the honey. But you can get that added.

In the land where Lattés are pretty.

And now for a dash of color.

That’s enough for today. Keep fighting the good fight.

Seattle

Seattle is a wonderful place. I’ve already decided to move there, and now the job and living situation is all that remains.

The vacation was great, and instead of showing you all the photos at once, I’ll spread them over a few days so you can soak them in, and so I don’t have to spend an hour uploading all the photos before posting this.

It makes no sense to have a photo post that includes only strangers, so I’ll go ahead and add a few of friends. This is Sarah and Christy. Sarah has been in front of the dresser before, and Christy was the old friend we went to visit. Christy gave me 60 days to move to Seattle, and I’m going to do my best to keep up with that.

Vacation

Vacations are weird. All you do is sit around, take the photos you want, update your blog whenever you want, and just all around relax.

I should have taken one of these months ago.

The past 6 months have left my brain scrambled and frantic, rapidly clawing at an escape and a focus. While photography offers that on a certain scale, the scale is limited, and thus insufficient.

But vacation. Now this is where it’s at.

Ok, granted, that’s not entirely true either. I am, however, loving Seattle. This place has an art scene, a job market, a culture that is intriguing rather than irritating, etc. I think I’m going to move out here as soon as I can muster the tribe, if not sooner.

I’ll have some photos to show in a couple days. I’ve forgotten how clumsy and slow the workflow of using my laptop is, and so I’ll wait until I can be at home with my Mac Pro and Aperture to kick things along, as well as keep things organized. I miss my monster.

Meh. I’m tired of typing, so I’m going to call this a post completed. Keep fighting the good fight.

I heart you all.

p.s. I’m currently working on a true gallery page that I’ll upload my worthy photographic work that was taken before the creation of this site, as well as keep a more organized collection of current work. This will also function as a professional portfolio, of sorts, so I’m going to attempt to make it really classy. Check back for that later.
