My Red Couch is becoming famous. More than once in the past week I’ve met someone who recognized the couch and the photos taken thereon. It is now the subject of a painting, and if I count correctly, I’ve photographed 48 different people on it, between about 6 or 7 different shoots.

Last night I brought my famous Red Couch over to The Back Porch and offered to photograph anyone on it who was there and willing. After doing a very preliminary sort, I came up with 53 images ranking 3-stars or better, which makes deciding how to post them here somewhat complicated. Loading photos into wordpress isn’t the fastest thing in the world, especially when working with that kind of volume. As such, I’ll try to be a bit more selective, but I can’t make too many promises. Here goes.

I think these two might be in love.

It’s everybody’s favorite time of the blog… Uploading shots from the famous Red Couch. Just the other day I met a totally random chick, who through a weird series of events saw one of my red couch shots, and she actually said she recognized them. Since I didn’t know her, I think that means the couch really is famous now.

Shot two brand new people today. Amanda Schmick and Danette Gunther, both of whom made exceptional models. I’d never met either of them before stepping into the studio, so it was a pretty fun time. Shortly after a number of friends showed up (all of whom have been shot on the couch before), so we played around just a bit more. There was a lot of energy, and I really needed it. I haven’t shot one of these days in too long.

Oh, just one additional humorous point. Joel decided he wanted a few certain compromising portraits of himself undone, so we made a point to shoot him with the girls as much as possible, which Jordan took great joy in trying to prevent.

Also, Jordan brought a fire hydrant with that he has, and will again, set on fire for a photo project of his own. Should be found at his blog pretty soon. These last two are my favorite, and for grossly different reasons. Keep it real, folks.
