My job was done for me

I have been meaning for about a month now to do a post on the selection process of photos, using examples and so on. However, there’s no reason to now, since Bill, over at On Taking Picutures has done such a post himself. His process is very similar to mine, although typically I start with far fewer pictures than he does for most shoots (although, granted, I do have a few that are in the 800 shot range).

Go ahead and take a read through his post, here. And right after that, add him to your RSS reader. He’s good folk.

a conversation

more bitter than sweet
i knew this part was coming
the up and down
rapidly one to the next
and back again
but I forgot that hindsight doesn’t grant knowledge of the present
and I don’t know whether this ends on the up, or the down
“Doesn’t sound like a roller coaster i would care to ride.”
if it ends on the up, it’s all worth it
“And if it ends up down?”
then in a year I’ll know if it was worth it
“That sounds both amazingly difficult and difficultly amazing.”
I hope you don’t mind
