Update

It’s a Mogwai kind of day.

For those of you wondering, yes, the new 8800GT works swell, although getting (beta) drivers (force-)installed on Windows XP was vaguely nightmarish, but did eventually work. I’ve been extremely busy lately, hence the lack of posting. Lots of work popping up, and I’m also the new style photographer for Second Supper. I also had my first shoot yesterday for them, featuring the shoes from a shoe store in La Crosse, called Kick. It was a fun little shoot, and we brought my friend Emma with to model the shoes. She did a great job, and although I’m not sure what photos the editor will choose for the feature, there was one shot I liked in particular (shown below) of Emma wearing a pair of $180 heels on my longboard. It’s a little frightening to put shoes on a sandpaper surface like that (when they tell you that if you scuff the bottoms, you have to buy them), so we took a little extra precaution of putting some paper (ironically torn from a copy of Second Supper) to put between the shoe and the board.

Shoes by Kick. Longboard by Sector 9.

Maybe in the future we’ll work up enough gumption to have her doing kick flips or something (on a longboard? madness!), but for the time being, I’ll just be satisfied with the look.

Busy days ahead, but hopefully I’ll be able to post more regularly. We’ll see.
