Hello world.
The internet is a little neat because sometimes people from other places see material they wouldn’t normally see. Often you know those people (like Jonathan, in Japan, or Jeremiah in South Korea, and so on), but sometimes you don’t really know. For example, I know I’m getting hits from Istanbul sometimes, and also Vienna. But I don’t know who those people (you people) are, so say hello in the comments and maybe we can get to know each other. And send me a photo of you where you are or something.

I was actually thinking about a similar phenomenon today in my International News Coverage class. mostly about how the internet is a cheap, public tool that allows access to really limitless amounts of information to anyone in the world (with internet access). for the US that means anyone who can enter a public library. for SK, that means anyone with 100W (less than 10c).
In Japan, laptops are less popular because many people have fully functional internet capabilities on their phone, and at minimum, can check their email (which is probably at least half of mobile internet use).
very interesting. gleefully unnerving.

Hey, nice to digitally meet you Ruud. I checked out your flickr feed, and you’ve got some good stuff. I like the Through The Viewfinder stuff in particular.
