well there you have it
The Apple OSX 10.4.10 update released yesterday is not a big deal to most people, especially with Leopard practically on our doorsteps. But it did include support for a few cameras, including the Leica M8. What was not addressed in the update was whether or not this update would carry into Aperture (although presumably it would, since Aperture shares most of the system resources for such things). Well I downloaded some performance proofs from Leica, and yes, support in Aperture for DNG’s is now included. And guess what? They look pretty damn good.
But it is a Leica. What did you expect?
So. In 3 months I’ll have my M8 (unless some rep from the company reads this, shows pity, and sends me one), and I won’t even have to change my workflow. Horray!
